Conveyor-Belt Sushi in Santa Ana

Kaisen Kaiten Sushi is a conveyor-belt sushi bar at 3855 South Bristol Street in Santa Ana. It was Kaiten Sushi Bar until new owners took over and renamed it; they have updated the dining room since.

How It Works

Plates circulate on the belt past every seat. Take what you want and keep the empty plates, which are priced by color and counted at the end. Only some items ride the belt, so order anything else from your server when you sit down; first-timers get a walk-through.

Nigiri, hand rolls, sashimi and specialty rolls make up most of the menu, with seared salmon, baked scallop rolls, oysters and chirashi bowls among the plates. Beef teriyaki, shrimp tempura and California rolls are there for anyone not eating raw fish, and there are happy-hour specials on beer and sake.

Before You Go

The dining room is small, so expect a wait at dinner on weekends. It is open from 11:30 AM to 9 PM, and until 9:30 PM on Friday and Saturday.
